IchessU is the only online chess school where you can take fully INTERACTIVE LIVE chess courses with audio and video. The chess lessons are given by real teachers, all Masters or Grandmasters. The chess coaches teach chess in a classroom setting, using the learning platform developed to satisfy your needs and make you feel welcome in our community. |
TOURNAMENT INVITATION
Dear IchessU member,
Brace yourself for some fun. In addition
to lessons, courses and special tournament preparation, you are invited to
play in the IchessU open championship!!
This event uses the Swiss
pairing system, and will last 7 Rounds. The time control of each game is
60 minutes per player. All games are rated.
You are not permitted
to use chess programs during these games (we will forfeit players we
suspect of doing so, at our discretion).
Should two players tie for
first, both split the prize. However, we will then ask for a "Best of 3"
10-minute match between the players to determine the title of "IchessU
Champion".
The winners of the championship will be contacted by
email to confirm prize delivery details. Please make sure your email in
IchessU is up to-date.
Since IchessU is a live and interactive
platform, we remind you that your audio/video might be working during your
game and you might be heard and seen by your opponent and game
observers.
Participation in this tournament is complimentary for
all IchessU members.
Agenda:
1. Players can schedule their
preferred time to play the game.
2. Both players must send an email to
info@ichessu.com no later than Tuesday evening stating the day and time
they scheduled their game.
3. If both players cannot agree on a
time/day to play, IchessU will schedule the day and time.
4. If the
game is not finished by Sunday, both players get a "bye”, with 0 points
for this game.
5. All games must be finished by Sunday evening Eastern
Time.
6. Pairings for the next round and results of the previous rounds
as well as standings will be published every Monday morning on our website.
Prizes (first place through fourth place):
1. 1 month of
private lessons with an International Master one on one.
2. 1 month of
group lessons in a small group.
3. 1 month of group lessons in a large
group.
4. Evaluation session and trial lesson.
There will be a
prize for the best female player performance and another prize that
IchessU will decide to give away to the "surprise" of the
tournament.
Note that all games have to be finished by Sunday
evening Eastern Time.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you
intend to play in this tournament.

International Chess University students range from small
kids to aged adults.You are not too old, nor too young to attend IchessU.
If you can move a mouse, you can participate in our chess classes.
Our chess lessons are matched to any chess level and age:

online chess and just move chess pieces, but want to improve their
chess strategy skills or learn chess openings
